Do you mean the new piano music CD which is advertised on
the web site? Go to www.raff.org/cd_advt.htm and that has
all the details so far, together with an email link using
which will enable you to "put your name down" for
a copy when it is released. It's actually two piano SONATAS
and a third set of pieces, rather than Etudes, though. Raff
didn't major on etudes.
If that's not what you are referring to, then I nedd more
information as I can't think of any other CD which fits your
description. |

Hi,
so far as I know, the only recordings of the 30 Progressive
Etudes are by Anne de Dadelsen on two Swiss LPs. She recorded
nos.21, 23 and 27 on a Pelca LP PSR 40 703 together with "Dans
La Nacelle" op.93 and works by other composers. I haven't
heard this recording unfortunately. On her other LP, which
is 100% Raff virtuoso piano music, she recorded Etude no.26.
That's Ex Libris EL 16 958. I bought my copy in Switzerland
in the early 80s. I've never seen any mention of either LP
elsewhere, nor did any of de Dadelsen's interpretations make
it onto CD.
Sorry for misunderstanding your initial enquiry. |
