Mark   18/11/2002	Subject: Finding Raff scores - help IS at hand Message: Hi, You may remember Volker's suggestion a few months ago that we try to compile a register of the location of published Raff scores in the world's libraries and archives. I've been beavering away since then compiling one with using online catalogues (where they exist) and "with a little help from my friends". The good news is that this will go live on the site at the next update - towards the end of this week. At the last count we have locations for 262 of Raff's works - most of the missing ones are early piano pieces, arrangements and works he left in manuscript. In many cases there are several locations. This is ongoing work and new collections will be added. One major archive is not included - that of the Staatsbibliothek, Berlin - Prussian Cultural Heritage. Possibly the largest single Raff music archive there is. The catalogue is only available on microfiche which I have no facility to read. Does anyone have it available in digital form - I'd be delighted to hear from you if you do. Cheers, Mark
