Subject: Hans Rott gets recognition
Message:
Tomorrow 18th and the day after, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia will feature Hans Rott´s 1st symphony as the mayor attraction in their Xmas Gala program in the Opera House of La Coruña and later in the Concert hall of Vigo. One cannot help hoping that somehow, somewhere his troubled spirit will be comforted by the sound of his music arising in a corner of Europe, so far away from Vienna. What has this to do with Raff? Hope for the unexpected. We say..la esperanza es lo último que se pierde.
With best wishes to you all for the coming year.

Poor Rott, what might he have achieved had he lived? I understand that he was very influential on the young Mahler, wasn't he? Has anyone heard anything else of his, apart from that magnificent symphony?
Three questions, one of which is unanswerable! I have just this minute returned home from watching the final episode of the Lord of the Rings and my senses are obviously still dulled by its assault on them...

Dear Friends,
I like vey much Rott Symphony. I am very happy about Rott will performed in Vigo. Vigo is a much active town on Classical Music.
I am friend of Borja Mariño´s father. Borja Mariño is a young galician piano promise, best known in Vigo however he studied in Vienna and now works for Teatro Real in Madrid.
I sent to his father the link of "The Raff Forum", if your son will interested to play any Raff work.
¿Tendremos suerte? (Will have luck?)
Cheers,
Fernando.

Dear friends,
I am listening now Rott´s Symphony in E major (on Layer´s version), or perhaps should say Rott´s "Titan" Symphony first draft.
I like it. Souds like a Mahler-Bruckner well shacked cocktail.
The Intelectuality strikes back... they discovers "the forget swivel" on Music History.
Does anybody remember our politician Alfonso Guerra and his mystic obsession on Mahler´s "Titan"?
Funny regards from Barcelona,
Fernando.
